NEO Bankside

Client: Native Land
Architect: Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners
Model Scale: 1:100
Dimensions: 4620 x 2250mm

A landmark development of four contemporary residential pavilions next to Tate Modern, with spectacular views across the river to St Paul’s Cathedral and London’s iconic skyline.

We constructed this huge model in four parts to incorporate other important riverfront landmarks, including the Millennium Bridge and Globe Theatre, giving a sense of context. It functioned to alleviate potential buyers’ concerns that the TM2 would restrict their river view, and instead stressing that they would be gaining an iconic piece of Herzog & de Meuron architecture as a new neighbour.

Burlington Gate, Mayfair

Client: Native Land
Architect: Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners
Scale: 1:50
Dimensions: 1260 x 1000mm

The redevelopment of an 83,000 square foot commercial building into 38 luxury apartments and 4 penthouses, between Old Burlington Street and Cork Street in London’s Mayfair.

At 3DD, we created a model to market the new luxury residential development with boutique world-class amenities and art gallery spaces. To achieve an exceptionally clean-looking elevation treatment, we applied layer upon layer of precision-cut components, and added complex individual apartment lighting that required four separate light cores.

Manhattan Loft Gardens

Client: Manhattan Loft Corporation
Architect: SOM
Scale: 1:100
Dimensions: 1125 x 750mm

This extraordinary double-cantilevered tower in London’s Stratford City has 248 lofts and apartments, three sky gardens and a design hotel, and is hailed as Europe’s most ambitious residential tower.

The 3DD studio crafted a stand-out model of the 40-storey tower, using machined acrylic strips to reproduce the building’s saw-tooth elevations, which were designed to direct light and views. The model’s glazing was designed not to touch the floor edge, but is held in place by tiny channels that were carefully cut into the sides of the painted elements.

Manhattan Loft Gardens Apartment/interior

Client: Manhattan Loft Corporation
Architect: SOM
Scale: 1:15
Dimensions: 1125 x 750mm

This double-cantilevered tower is characterised by expansive living spaces, three sky gardens and a design hotel.

At 3DD, we modelled a selection of apartments at 1:15 scale to allow potential buyers to fully understand and visualise the finished apartments. All fixtures and fittings were modelled in detail, including free-standing furniture in clear resin. It perfectly communicated the use of each space without dictating a particular style.

Vista, Chelsea Bridge

Client: Berkeley Homes
Architect: Scott Brownrigg
Scale: 1:100
Dimensions: 1800 x 1200mm

A collection of luxurious 1, 2, 3 bedroom apartments overlooking Battersea Park, close to Chelsea Bridge, on a site previously occupied by the Marco Polo House, the former QVC Building.

Phillimore Square, Kensington

Client: Westcity Wates
Architect: KSR Architects
Scale: 1:12
Dimensions: 2330 x 1000mm

Phillimore Square, a stunning residential development on Campden Hill, Kensington, adjacent to Holland Park. 8 luxury town houses spanning over 7 floors provide substantial accommodation of approximately 7,500 sq. ft. each.

3DD modelled a single town house at the traditional dolls house scale of 1:12. Working at this larger scale we were able to take the detail to the next level. Door furniture, including handles, hinges and catch plates, as well as kitchen and bathroom fittings, were modelled from solid brass and then chrome plated.
